WWW Web Developers Virtual Library -The WDVL is an extensive library with 5 core areas: Authoring, Internet, Location, Reference, Software. Authoring is about the creation of web sites and pages; Internet is about the Internet in general; Location is about locating information on the web; Reference contains FAQs, glossaries, catalogs, bookmarks; Software is about software tools, objects, components, servers, APIs, plugins, Java applets, databases, chat and bulletin board systems, CGI scripts, browsers, agents, and libraries.

Bandwidth Conservation Society - this site is a resource for web developers interested in optimizing performance, but still maintaining an appropriate graphic standard; a balance between a pleasing page and an economical, low-bandwidth delivery of that page.

Netscape's Creating Web Sites - Netscape's information center, which is for anyone interested in creating a Web page, begins with a Beginner's Guide to HTML, and covers composing good HTML, HTML 2.0 and 3.0 extensions, frames, resources for adding functionality, and developer's tools.

Basic Guide for Writing Web Pages - An easy to follow step by step guide for Creating Web pages, giving sample HTML codes and examples of each to allow you to create a professional looking Web Page. I printed the whole guide and used it constantly while learning.

How to Make a Web Page - Created by Prof. Tom O'Haver, The University of Maryland, it's a comprehensive page which includes templates to study and use.

Web Design Central - Duke University's Interactive Learning Lab: help and resources to create an effective web site.

Quick Guide to HTML - Michael Grobe, The University of Kansas, created this glossary of HTML tags; worth printing as a handy desk reference.

Composing Good HTML - Eric Tilton is a well-known expert on HTML. this is an extensive tutorial on composing HTML. Not a beginners guide, it discusses good practices to follow in creating your documents, common errors and things to avoid when composing HTML, and style sheets as well as style issues.

Beginners Guide to HTML - NCSA Beginner's Guide to HTML is one of the most frequently recommended beginner's guide on the Web. It's an excellent introductory resource to start to understand HTML.

Introduction to HTML - Ian Graham, a published expert and best-selling author on the subject, provides a very complete on-line HTML reference guide in this introductory tutorial.

HTML Goodies Page - Joe Burns, author of the "So You Want a ...." covers every imaginable subject in his hands-on tutorials, from the basics to advanced. this site's a good bookmark for beginners to experts.

Yale WWW Style Manual - By Patrick J. Lynch, MS, Yale Center for Advanced Instructional Media, this manual describes the design principles used to create the pages within the Center for Advanced Instructional Media's Website. this is not an introduction to HTML.

Advanced HTML - Good tutorial on the more advanced techniques of tables and frames to control and convey your web page/site information more effectively and display it visually.

HTML Bad Style Page - Tony Sanders collection of DONTs for HTML is a good educational tool for users learning HTML.

Color in Web Documents - Color chart which provides the source codes for the colors.

The Browser-Safe Color Palette by published expert, Lynda Weinman. Basics about why to use this 216 color-palette.
